New York
based DJT Promotions, Sunlight Productions and Global Harmony, a charity
organization which operates out of the UK, have joined forces with a number of
reggae and dancehall artistes to fight against domestic violence. On Saturday
August 17, they will stage the first annual White House Culture Jam at the
White House Beach Park in Westmoreland.
According
George O’Gilvie of DJT Promotions domestic violence is a very serious problem
globally and as such he and his partners are working to help to eliminate it.
“As we all
know domestic violence in a very serious problem all over the world, its
affecting countless people in some way or another in various countries. As
responsible individuals we will not sit down and watch this problem as it
continues to grow and do nothing about it. So together with our partners we
have decided to join the fight against domestic violence. We first began to
work together in 2012 when our artiste Lazah Current did a number of events to
promote the fight against domestic violence. In August of that same year we
also teamed up with Sunlight Promotions to do a back to school give away event
in St. Catherine
, which was sponsored by LIME. Now we are all working together
on this project and we are hoping to achieve great success together as we
continue to play our part in the fight against domestic violence,” said Mr.
O’Gilvie.

O’Gilvie said.”
He also
